How to Join Goddard Toastmasters

We invite all of you to join as a member of Goddard Toastmasters and become an accomplished communicator and leader.

Quick Steps

  1. Download and fill out the membership application form
  2. Calculate your payment (see Payment Information below)
  3. Submit the form and payment to a club officer
  4. Start attending meetings and begin your Toastmasters journey!

Step 1: Fill Out the Membership Form

Download the official Toastmasters International Membership Application Form:

Club Information to Include:

  • Club Number: 3496
  • Club Name: Goddard Toastmasters
  • Area: 42
  • Division: D
  • District: 36

Step 2: Calculate Your Payment

See the Payment Information section below, or contact our Treasurer for assistance calculating your dues.

Step 3: Submit Your Application

Submit your completed application form and payment to:

  • In person at a club meeting (2nd and 4th Wednesdays, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.)
  • Via email to the VP Membership or Treasurer
  • By contacting any club officer to arrange submission

Payment Information

Current Fees (2025)

Toastmasters International Fees:

  • New Member Fee: $25.00 (one-time fee, paid only when you first join)
  • Semiannual Dues: $60.00 per six-month period ($120.00 per year)
    • Dues are prorated based on when you join

Goddard Toastmasters Club Dues:

  • Annual Club Dues: $6.00 per year
  • Payable to “Goddard Toastmasters”

Payment Methods

  • Check: Make payable to “Goddard Toastmasters”
  • Civil Servants: Only pay the $6.00 club dues. The GSFC Education Office handles TI dues as an educational expense.
  • Contractors: Pay full amount. Check with your employer’s HR about reimbursement for professional development/training expenses.

Example: Joining in January

  • New Member Fee: $25.00
  • TI Dues (Jan-Mar, prorated): $30.00
  • TI Dues (Apr-Sep): $60.00
  • Club Dues (annual): $6.00
  • Total for Contractor: $121.00
  • Total for Civil Servant: $6.00 (TI fees paid by GSFC Education Office)

Example: Joining in August

  • New Member Fee: $25.00
  • TI Dues (Aug-Sep, prorated): $20.00
  • TI Dues (Oct-Mar): $60.00
  • Club Dues (annual): $6.00
  • Total for Contractor: $111.00
  • Total for Civil Servant: $6.00 (TI fees paid by GSFC Education Office)

After You Join

What Happens Next?

  1. Application Processing
    • A club officer will enter your information into the Toastmasters International system
    • You’ll receive a welcome email from Toastmasters International with your member number and login credentials
  2. Welcome Materials
    • You’ll receive access to the Pathways learning experience (Toastmasters’ educational program)
    • Download your first speech project, “The Icebreaker,” from Toastmasters International
  3. Club Integration
    • VP Membership will add you to the club email list
    • You’ll be added to the club meeting schedule
    • A mentor will be assigned to help guide you through your first speeches
  4. Start Your Journey
    • Attend meetings regularly (2nd and 4th Wednesdays, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.)
    • Begin working through your Pathways projects
    • Participate in Table Topics and meeting roles
